Suliao DU-25 is mostly used to benefit nose, as it is able to treat symptoms such as runny or blocked nose, nose blood, alcoholic nose and etc.
Some recent studies also claim that it is effective in reducing alcohol intoxication, because it increases the volume of alcohol present in the expired air by redirecting its elimination route to the Lungs from the Liver.
Some other studies claim that it is able to restore consciousness, like the function of Renzhong DU-26.

This point is located on sensitive nasal cartilage and is typically painful to needle. Shallow insertion only - do not needle deeply as this can cause significant pain and potential cartilage damage. The sneezing reflex is commonly triggered during needling, which is therapeutically desirable for consciousness revival but should be anticipated. Bloodletting by pricking is an appropriate technique. Moxibustion is strictly contraindicated according to classical texts including the Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing. Use caution in patients with nasal infections or inflammation. Pregnant women should be treated with reduced stimulation.
