However, GB-27 is more on treating men with pain (eg: testicle retraction). However, GB-26 is more indicated for gynecological problems.

Classical Sources

Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing (針灸甲乙經): Lists GB-27 for treating hernia, lower abdominal pain, and leukorrhea.

Zhenjiu Dacheng (針灸大成): Records indications including lumbar pain, constipation, and disorders of the lower burner.

Ling Shu: The Dai Mai pathway passes through this point, connecting the Gallbladder channel with the Girdle Vessel to regulate the lower jiao.

How to Locate

First palpate along the upper border of the iliac crest in an anterior and inferior direction so as to identify ASIS (anterior superior iliac spine). ASIS is a bony ridge on the lateral aspect of the lower abdomen. Wushu GB-27 is in a depression medial and anterior to the ASIS.
