Always ensure the patient has emptied their bladder before needling. Strictly contraindicated during pregnancy as it can induce labor or cause miscarriage. Use caution during menstruation with heavy bleeding. For uterine prolapse, a specialized technique involves directing the needle toward REN-2, rotating to engage muscle fibers, then pulling upward and taping in position for 20-30 minutes.
